Kapok is a humanitarian app i am working on alongside a group of computer science students. The app's mission is to create a place for registered nurses and first responders to easily log the work they do when they are at a natural disaster site.
i am working on the UI side of the app and my goal is to deliver visually appealing, easy to follow designs. my main role is to create wireframes using Invision and Figma that the developers use to code for the ios and android versions of the app. i also designed the logo above!
Hidden Gems is a non-profit singing organization which raises money throught their shows and donates all their profits to charity causes around the world. i made this save-the-date event flyer for one of the organization's shows.
although i have been part of this organization for a while, i recently became their in house graphic designer. i have many duties involving designing flyers, brochures and their wordpress newsletter. this volunteering role helps me enhance my skills in photoshop, indesign and wordpress.
this summer, i have been delving into learning more in depth about Wordpress and making websites for potential clients through the software. initially i learned how to play around with the basic version of Wordpress and then got introduced to Wordpress Divi. divi is a great tool that allowed me to create themes for websites and easily input all the content without having to code much. i really enjoy how i am able to design a site with ease and i feel that it is a nice skill to learn.
